About Brett Oppenheim Senior Vice President / Broker Associate

As the Senior Vice President of The Oppenheim Group, Brett manages a group of real estate agents who sell more than $250 million in luxury properties annually, distinguishing themselves as one of the premier real estate teams in Los Angeles. Brett has built an incredibly successful referral driven practice, representing clients in the purchase and sale of luxury properties across Los Angeles. He has appeared on Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing,” HGTV’s “Selling LA,” and is consistently named by The Hollywood Reporter as one of Los Angeles’s Top 25 Real Estate Agents.

Brett completed his bachelor’s degree at UC Berkeley, receiving Phi Beta Kappa and Highest University Honors, and is a UCLA Merit Scholar and graduate of UCLA School of Law. As a former securities litigation attorney at two of the world’s largest international law firms, Skadden, Arps LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP, Brett spent years defending a consortium of U.S. banks against liability in excess of ten billion dollars stemming from the MCI/WorldCom corporate bond default.

As the co-founder and manager of The Oppenheim Group’s International Real Estate Investment Fund, Brett has travelled to over seventy countries and successfully consummated real estate transactions on three continents. Closing deals governed by different laws, currencies, and languages has acquainted Brett with the skills to evaluate risks and craft unique solutions in order to preserve complex deals for his clients.

Representing the fifth generation of his family to practice real estate in Los Angeles, Brett has a profound understanding and appreciation for the city. His great-great-grandfather, Jacob Stern, was one of the first real estate developers of early Los Angeles and a seminal figure in establishing Hollywood as the world’s entertainment capital. The Oppenheim family continues to develop, broker and manage local residential and commercial properties, giving Brett unique insight and access to all aspects of Los Angeles real estate.

Brett currently lives in the Hollywood Hills, where he renovates and develops properties for his personal real estate portfolio. He also manages his client’s developments, including a Beverly Hills estate that he recently sold for over $17,000,000, and a 13,000 square foot residence on Hummingbird Place., one of the largest projects in the coveted “Bird Streets.” Whether first-time homebuyers or investors maximizing their portfolios, Brett prides himself on effectuating his client’s needs, and enjoys the enduring relationships he forms with them.
